Washington Square Park

Washington Square Park is one of the most vibrant places in New York City.  Any given day there’s someone filming, someone playing an instrument, someone raising awareness about a cause, someone protesting a cause, someone hula-hooping, someone reading and someone (fill-in-the-blank).  It’s a place where everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves in their own unique way.

A few blocks away from the park are the West 4th Street Courts where passersby can pause to watch lively games of basketball or handball.

I experienced this with you! I really enjoy seeing the character of a place through noticing how people interact, play, and relax together. Thank you for helping us see the community in which you live every day!
